IFM will accept unsolicited submissions of written material only in the following form:
1. One or two page synopsis of the material. NO screenplays should be submitted unless IFM so requests in writing. If unsolicited screenplays are submitted, they will be destroyed unopened. They will not be returned.
2. The synopsis will not be returned unless a self addressed stamped envelope is provided.
3. Any synopses submitted via email, fax or via mail will only be responded to if there is interest in pursuing the material.
4. If IFM elects to request a screenplay following reviews of the synopsis, the screenplay will need to be accompanied by a signed copy of IFM’s standard form of release, a copy of which is available upon request. Any screenplay submitted without a signed IFM release form shall be deemed not to be confidential and IFM shall have unrestricted, irrevocable license to use, reproduce, modify, transmit, display and perform such screenplay and shall be free to use any ideas, concepts, know how or technique for any purpose.
5. Screenplays will not be returned unless a self addressed stamped envelope, UPS or FedEx account number is provided.
6. Turnaround time or review of submissions is typically 30 – 60 days from receipt, and a written rejection letter will be provided if IFM elects not to pursue a requested screenplay.
7. Inquiries in relation to written submissions should be directed in first instance to us by email at contact@ifmfilm.com
8. The provision of a synopsis or screenplay (if requested) to IFM constitutes acceptance of the above terms.
In regards to screeners of completed titles or works in progress:
1. IFM will accept unsolicited submissions, but submissions may not be acknowledged
2. Submissions may be in either NTSC or PAL in DVD or BluRay format. 2 copies should be provided along with any press, artwork, trailers, reviews etc.
3. Film submissions will not be returned unless return shipping is provided.
4. Turnaround time or review of submissions is typically 30 – 60 days from receipt, and a written rejection letter will be provided if IFM elects not to pursue the title.
5. Enquiries in relation to submissions should be directed in first instance to Aaron Kennison at IFM.
6. The provision of a screener to IFM constitutes acceptance of the above terms.
